Allotment Roll Finalized After Long Dispute in Wooster

After nearly a year of wrangling the Wooster allotment list under the August 11914 act is completed with several names added and others removed. The committee is praised for fair handling, and residents are urged to unite for village progress as a united community. Last Wednesday evening St Mary's School held its graduation exercises in St Mary's Hall. The event drew a large number of graduates and featured a well prepared program. The Sisters under whose supervision organized the ceremony earned praise for their untiring efforts.

Ashland Young Man Fred Hill Dies at 27

Fred Hill of Ashland died last Monday evening at age 27. Son of Mr and Mrs John Hill he lived in the village for years and worked as a clerk for J S Stearns Ltr Co and in the planing mill. He later served as camp clerk in Bessemer Michigan. Survived by sister Mrs Rose Tracy Plumber Idaho and brothers Len and Will of Ashland. Funeral held yesterday afternoon from his home with many mourners attending.

Death of Adam Scott Jr. at Birch Farm

Adam Scott Jr. died Sunday evening at his home in the village from an apoplexy stroke after months of illness. He was about 35, leaves a wife and several children, and had a large circle of friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic Church with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. He was the eldest son of Adam Scott Sr. and was born on the reservation. He owned a fine Birch farm but could not work it due to illness. He is survived by his father, a brother, wife, and children.

Miss Carrie Schultz to Return as Superintendent

Miss Carrie Schultz, who has served as Superintendent of the M. E. Mission School here for a year, departed for Deer Park Wisconsin last Tuesday. Her work earned high praise and many friends, and she is sure to resume the same position after her summer vacation.
