John Harto manager of the Crystal Theatre arranged with F. E. Vaniea of Saxon for a moving picture show in a new building. He says opening will be in three or four weeks and every Saturday evening will feature updated motion pictures for the citizens of the town.
Judge J W Cochrane a pioneer of the territory died Tuesday in Florida and will be buried in Williamsport Pa. He had many friends among the Indians on the reservation and summered at Nissishin Lodge on the Brule where Antoine Denomie was his long time guide and companion.
Owls Nest 1550 holds meetings on the 2nd and 4th Mondays monthly with visiting members welcome led by President F. J. Swift and Secretary Harry Nelson. FRA Council No 207 convenes the 1st and 2nd Saturdays monthly under President F O Carlson and Secretary E L Langren. George Stoddard and wife visited Ashland yesterday. Deputy Sheriff Pat Dermedy traveled from Ashland on official business.

The question concerns whether identifiable white blood mixing affects eligibility to sell allotted lands under existing law. The Eighth Circuit held that any identifiable mixture defines mixed blood status and the case tests the government’s challenge to sales by Indians with one eight and one sixteenth white blood.
In Saxon Wisconsin this week F E Vaniea shows a near complete building on the site of a burned structure. The downstairs holds a saloon barber shop and a family residence in the rear while the upper hall houses a stage for a planned moving picture show two nights weekly plus a full basement with a spring well. The building is fully water supplied and electric lit. Citizens praise the new facility in their village.
