General Order No 2 directs Memorial Day observance Friday May 20 by the Grand Army of the Republic department in Grand Forks North Dakota. Post commands to arrange services, report observances, and invite schools, veterans groups, militia, and citizens to participate. Flags half mast and business suspensions urged.

Complaints rise over cats shipped with mustard. None of this seed came from the county.
