Washington May 7 In executive session Senator Jones unveiled over 400 amendments agreed to by Democratic senators. The bill, reshaped from the Wilson and Senate versions, increases many schedules, with notable rises in sugar iron tin plate and wool duties. Harris vows to oppose further sessions until tariff bill clears, seeks morning sessions at 10. Brackets, duties include 40 percent ad valorem on certain sugars, extra duties on others, pig iron at 4 per ton, and wool rate changes effective June 1, 1895.
Coxey Browne and Jenen Courie were found guilty by a jury for displaying a banner on Capitol grounds during the protest known as the greatest march of the 20th century.
