A local resident announces candidacy across Dickey County urging county voters to back their bid. The statement commits to honest duty and diligent service if elected.
Professor Kent announces candidacy for Dickey County superintendent of schools and respectfully solicits support from voters.
A notice from the Republican County Central Committee announces a county convention for Dickey County to be held at the Milendale courthouse on the 30th day of June at 10 o clock in the forenoon. Delegates will be elected to the State Convention in Grand Forks on July 1 and to transact other business. Representation is apportioned by votes cast for Republican ticket in the last general election, with one delegate per ten votes or major fraction and one delegate at large per precinct. Precincts and representation totals are listed, with caucuses recommended for June 28.

Report says C. A. Kent formally renounced the Democratic faith and became aligned with Independents. The transfer occurred in Charley Applequist’s blacksmith shop on an unspecified Stee day, witnessed by a select few, with a symbolic chain forged to bind him to the party. The chain is described as silver though the iron implication is noted.

Glover residents report S Glover expected back from Minneapolis today. Mrs Guyott and Mrs Olson traded at Oakes Saturday. Mr and Mrs W Teal drove through town Sunday. Mr Andrus has gone east for medical treatment after a period of poor health. Alnesses visited Blends nearby. Hoagenson bought a buggy at Oakes last week claiming a bargain. Sheep men removing coats from their flocks. Helgeson and son Freddy visited Hoagenson’s folks last week. Tollefson and Brather fished Kent’s last Sunday. Fish plentiful this year. Election day picnic planned at Glover with a full program and refreshments for all.
