A Republican convention for North Dakota will be held in Grand Forks or Tuendy on July 29, 1800 at 2 p.m. to nominate candidates for congress and state offices. Representation: one delegate per organized county plus one added delegate for each 100 votes or major fraction cast for Hansbrough in the last general election. Counties entitled to representation follow.

New Railroad Towns in Northwestern Iowa Great Corn Belt

On the Sioux Falls and Onawa branches of the Illinois Central Railroad several towns are springing up in northwestern Iowa's prime agricultural county. Prospective investors are advised to contact the Cherokee and Western Town Lot and Land Co. in Cherokee for rates and a pamphlet titled Homes for Everybody describing these towns as they were in 1890, via J. Chicago and North-Western excursion tickets July 8 to 7

Ellendale plans a big Fourth with an afternoon ball game between Morango and Ellendale clubs. About 450 attended Ellendale school commencement last Monday. eighteen graduates.
