Miss Estelle Colton twenty three daughter of Dr KE G Colton of Brooklyn died by her own hand at Piermont after failing to pass exams at the Art Students League in New York. She left a note to her father and walked to the creek bank where she drowned. A second item notes an Alpine glacier skeleton possibly Ruth, found in Ademello glacier with discussion of how fissures trap victims and preserve remains.
In northern Michigan near the Rifle river lives Mrs Angus McDonald known as The Widow McDonald at 94. She feeds deer hunters, lives alone in a log house, and endures a decades long mystery of missing son and husband while clinging to faith that Providence will restore him.
Dr. Rose, with two accomplices, attempted to kill the Williams family at Mesa, sixteen miles east of Phoenix, and was shot dead by Sheriff Orme after entering the house with a hammer. The accomplices Burt and Cooley were captured and jailed. Burt had tried to pull Rose's plan but feared his vengeance.

Four white men attacked by a mob of negroes on Saturday near Clarksville. Henry Baker, a white man about 60, was stabbed twice and died on the scene. One other white man was stabbed and badly hurt. Two negroes were hurt. Three negroes are jailed on murder charges.
The Blonde, a small steamer, battles a violent Queen Charlotte storm on its last northbound trip. A massive shark over thirty feet appears before the vessel as Captain Beck fires, striking the fish in the head. The shark sinks after a ferocious clash with the boat.
Squire Ware of Jeffersonville Indiana joined William Bratton and Miss Lizzie Morgan a handsome eloping couple from Covington Kentucky. Bratton had been saved by Miss Morgan from under a moving train and proposed marriage though engaged to another. Miss Morgan accepted claiming her claim should have preference over his prior engagement.
A retrospective on Henry of Navarre as the season’s leading three and four year old, detailing his stamina weight carrying ability and late speed. The piece compares him with Clifford Domino Rey del Carreres and Taral ridden by Perkins Griffin Sims and others, noting temper wind and conformation. It weighs his chances against England travel and ranks him top among the four.
The 90th birthday of Mrs Mary Ann Keeley will be celebrated at the Lyceum Theatre London. The aged actress will appear in a role that made her famous years ago.
