Edward J. Collins a popular West Side poundkeeper married on Thursday March 7 in New York to a woman from that city. They will reside at the corner of Fillmore and Kedzie avenues. Evangelistic services are held this week at the Presbyterian chapel 1653 W Twelfth street with a sermon schedule by pastors and church leaders through Friday.
A stock company seeks a Hawthorne site to build a brewery. Dolese and Shepard will start quarry work around April 1, adding about 150 workers. In a schoolhouse gathering, over 100 Germans joined the German American Citizens Club led by PF G Smith as president and Charles Staffall as secretary.
