Two autos veered into sewer trenches on Centre Street this week due to no lights warning of danger. Mr and Mrs Robert Nixon of 77 Brighton Ave Kearny and their seven year old son were injured. Mr Nixon suffered deep finger and chin cuts while Mrs Nixon had a nose injury. A second car carrying A Allen and family and Helen and Sam Nixon escaped harm. The car was removed to a garage after rescue by officers. Thomas Cusack president of Cusack Outdoor Advertising Co New York said his car also hit the trench on Wednesday night.
Local Jews organize a twenty five member Nutley Jewish Congregation to hold services at Grace Church Pan Home. Rev Charles P Tinker Geer will preside temporarily with cantor from New York. Officers include Dr Samuel Slaff president and Benjamin Sel secretary treasurer.
