Fruit thief draws gun during pursuit by orchard owner
Jacob Zimmerer of Centre street says fruit thieves fled in a wagon after he chased them from his orchard. He climbed into the wagon but a woman driver and a man armed with a knife and revolver forced him out. Police traced the wagon to Demetrio Turrano, with fruit and vegetables found at his Harrison street home.
