Nutley police learn from the Bronx that a boarding house thief named Ira Sperling, aliases unknown, is in custody and allegedly admitted robbing Mrs. E. A. Dodd of Brookfield Avenue last June. Extradition papers will be sought to arraign him for the Nutley jewelry theft and $20 purse loss. the suspect was identified at the Tombs.

After two meetings with insufficient turnout Nutley Choral Society officers abandoned plans to start the season. Only forty members attended, well short of the sixty needed, though President Joseph D. Little and others hoped to proceed. The two year old society had previously given four concerts and once housed eighty to ninety voices. The large sheet music collection from the defunct club is up for sale.
