Nutley residents report trips to Warwick New York Lake Pocono and Torreone Mexico as tax bills preparation begins for November 1. Community notices include Methodist church events Halloween party oyster supper and building advise from Lefferts' Beef Iron and Wine while local libraries promote a traveling library and catalogues.
The Nutley Athletic Club and Mutuale of Belleville halted play after six innings due to darkness with Nutley leading 11 to 6. Nutley outfielders Stager Mitchel Bishop Ray Blum Joiner Young made key catches as Machette pitched well for Belleville and Hawkins scored Nutley’s sole run on a second inning dash.

Belleville Town Council hears Henry Shaffer recount tax confusion over the Belleville Nutley line. He has paid Nutley taxes on land north of the line, totaling about 480 dollars in taxes penalties and interest. The issue is referred to the Legal Committee and Town Counsel for action on boundary lines and back taxes.
In executive session members Burr Cushman and others discussed the Water Committee's recommendation for filling the unexpired term of Water Engineer. A motion by Mr Libby passed, naming Robert Boyd Jr as owner of adjacent property to appear for draining water references at the next meeting.
On Tuesday afternoon the Literary Section of the Woman's Public Library Auxiliary met at Mrs. W.O. Kinsley's Prospect Street residence. Mrs. J. Miss Sarah Beasken, organizer of Libraries of the State, gave a brief traveling library duties address. The No-License League met at Mr Joseph Mutch's Prospect Street residence Tuesday evening endorsing A G Fox and James Weatherbee for town council seats. Fox is seen as aligning with the league on license issues and Weatherbee, president of White Springs Paper Co., is named for the third ward council role.
