Woodrow Wilson Leads Victory as Local Election Totals Reported

Governor elect Woodrow Wilson topped a divided slate with 685 Republican ballots and 44 percent Democratic support. The record shows ward by ward results for freeholder, mayor, town council, justice of the peace, and constable across First, Second, and Third Wards with party tallies for each race and candidate.

Burglars Loot Two Homes on Passaic Avenue

Sometime early Thursday morning burglars raided the homes of Richard B. Dean and W. T. Simpson on Passaic Avenue near Glendale Street. About 75 dollars worth of loot was taken at each house including a diamond engagement ring, silverware, a meerschaum pipe, a fur coat, a gold watch, and other apparel. The thefts were discovered next morning as noises were heard but misinterpreted. Police are pursuing a lead that may yield results in a few days.

Nutley Naval Brigade to Play Football This Afternoon

The Nutley Naval Brigade meets Oxford A G C on the Park Grounds this afternoon. A previous Election Day game ended in a tie with Grace Church Cadets, and the next Army and Navy game is set for next Saturday.

More than 200 guests from Nutley attended a reception for Superintendent and Mrs. John KR. Beachler and Nutley Public Schools staff at Mr. and Mrs. William J. Kinsley home. Stolen Auto Recovered as Forgery Charge Ties Suspect

Harry Koch, former chauffeur for William Sergeant, was arrested in New York on a forgery warrant and linked to the October 8 theft of a 1916 Locomobile valued at 4000 dollars. Detectives expect to return him to Newack for trial while authorities pursue the auto theft case.
