Nutley's loan drive reports 235 450 of the quota raised with 839 subscribers. The bank stays open this afternoon and tonight to handle subscriptions as workers push a final day effort. Mrs. Fred H. Y leads with sixty subscriptions while Mrs. Albert E. Howe tops the money with 11 100. A red feather incentive and medals from the General Committee are to reward workers. Poison misread as antiseptic ends in hospital stay
Hobart Stager a 22 year old Newark resident swallowed a bichloride of mercury tablet after a friend showed him the tablets were antiseptic. He was treated with a stomach pump and later discharged from St Marys Hospital Passaic. The friend who carried the tablets was paroled.

Retired piano manufacturer Thomas Floyd-Jones died last evening at his daughter Mrs Alfred Sturges 195 Prospect Street after four years of infirmity and a brain clot. Born in Massapequa L I he built pianos for forty years and wrote on trotting horses including the book Backward Glances He served as charter member of the Melinda Sons of the Revolution and the St Nicholas Society He is survived by Mrs Sturges another daughter Mrs Grace Baynard of Mt Vernon N Y and son T Linton Floyd-Jones of White Plains N Y Funeral services are planned for tomorrow afternoon with Rev Douglas Matthews officiating and burial at the Floyd-Jones private cemetery in Massapequa.
