More than fifty women attended at the Woman's Club to hear an anti-suffrage talk and a pro-suffrage rebuttal. Mrs. L D Oliphant of Trenton argued against suffrage linking feminists and socialists, while Mrs. Richard T Newton of Edgewood and Mrs. Minnie Reynolds of Newark defended suffrage using examples from Colorado Illinois and the constitution. The event featured applause for both sides and ended with a question session before Mrs Oliphant left to catch a train.

Nutley High Sophomore Misa Dittig Dies After Illness
Misa Viola Dittig aged 15 died at her parents home after a weeklong illness from mumps diphtheria sore throat and pleurisy. She was a Nutley High School sophomore and had a lead role in a postponed play. Funeral services were private with Rev Milton Stauffer officiating and Hanover Cemetery burial. Survived by parents John and wife and four siblings.

Local man foils sale of stolen Ford car in Orange
Dwight D. Decker of 116 Hillside avenue exposed a car theft when offered a Ford for 125 by Dana Graves 21 of Orange employed by Reliable Hand Laundry. Decker traced the machine to a Newark record showing theft and repainting. Newark detectives arrested Graves at Deckers home Monday and he is held for trial.

It urged immediate fire escapes and fire-proof doors at Park Yantacaw and Washington Schools while recommending class sizes cap at thirty and noting strong kindergarten manual training and supervision.
