West Nutley Club Hosts March 20 Reception and Dance

Vosseler Councilman Dies After Illness at Home

Jobo J. Vosseler longtime Nutley councilman from the Third ward and vice chairman dies after weeks at home with throat trouble. A funeral with Masonic rites and strong public and fire department attendance followed at Tidvelawn Cemetery. He is survived by a widow four children and a brother in Arlington. Town Council deals with vacancy and street orders

The town council convened at 8 30 PM to discuss the Third ward vacancy and street naming ordinances. Resolutions approved include placing a free phone with the Chief of Police and honoring late Councilman Vosseler with a sympathy motion.

Nabley Base Ball Club elects officers for coming year

The Nabley Base Ball Club held its meeting on Wednesday evening and elected officers for the ensuing year. President is Dr. G. B Philhower, vice president EB Baysford, secretary and manager Ellsworth Past, treasurer Fred Young, captain Francis Stager, with a board of directors including Thomas Brown and others. The team will select players from Hawkins, Small, Spinning, Young, Gillao d Blum, Blum F, Bishop, Sager, Mitchell, Blum G, W. Blackwell, and Blum. First practice is April 30 at Upper Montclair against Commonwealth A. A game for the following Saturday in Nutley will be arranged.
