Board of Education Hears Plan to Extend Park School
At a Tuesday night meeting in the High School building the Board discussed extending Park School to handle rising pupil numbers. President Philbower reported two courageous diseases in the Italian section and ordered two weeks of excluding children from that area to prevent spread. The Building Committee expects Town Hall completion within two weeks as the Superintendent notes attendance trends with 814 as peak enrollment and 101 off roll.

Mr Harry Read son of Mr and Mrs Henry Read of Him place died at his parents home after illness. He was 29 and known in Nutley for theater work and had recently been in Washington DC and en route to the South. He was a member of Theatrical Benefit Association and Knights of Honor New York. Funeral held at home with Knights delegation present. Body cremated next day at Fresh Pond Long Island.

Stephen Ball of Kingsland Street aged 79 died last Saturday after a long illness. A native of England he came to this country nearly fifty years ago and worked with the J. & KR. Kingsland paper firm as an expert paper maker. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at his residence with Rev Elbert Clement officiating.
