Junior American Guards Camp at Library Grounds Over Fourth
The Junior American Guards will encamp on the library grounds over the Fourth of July. A service tent hospital tent and mess tent will be erected and a complete outfit exhibited including cannon rifles cooking paraphernalia and first aid equipment. On the Fourth morning a flag salute will be held at the school flagpole. Several recruits were added to the guards this week.
Local Masons to Attend Corner Stone Laying
Nutley Lodge of Masons will meet at Kearny Station Newark Branch of the Erie at 2 15 PM and proceed as a body to the corner stone laying by Copeston Lodge of Kearny. They sent a delegation of eighty to Natley Lodge for a special affair.

At least five Nutley men may be called to the colors in case of war with Mexico. Nutley Resident Edward Morgan Dies in Virginia
Edward Morgan a longtime Nutley resident died of heart trouble on a fishing trip near Hampton Virginia at age fifty two. Funeral services were held at All Saints Church Great Neck and burial followed in the family plot. He helped beautify Nutley by planting a maple line to Nutley Station and helped found the Yountakah Country Club. Surviving are his wife son Frederic a sister Mrs Butler Williamson and he was brother in law of August Belmont.
