New Town Hall Hosts Graduation Reception and Plays
Graduates offered a reception at the new Town Hall. Two farces, Obstinacy and A Quiet Family, were performed by pupils under Mr. Samuel Silverburg. The young performers did well, followed by dancing and refreshments.

Fire destroys barn on Bloomfield Avenue loss $500
Shortly after 2 30 a fire broke out at a barn owned by Mr John DeVausney on Bloomfield Avenue. The building and hay burned with a horse perishing inside. Firefighters faced no stream of water from a hydrant as chemicals were used to curb spread. No insurance covered the building or contents. Origin unknown. Two pigs were saved by Fireman Griffith.
