Chair Issued Bespoke Ivory Gavel to Kierstead
The Nutley New Jersey town council and officials presented Chairman Kierstead with a carved ivory gavel after his return to the chair at the adjourned meeting on Wednesday evening. Councilman Halsey spoke in the handover, and Kierstead expressed sincere appreciation for the gift inscribed with the year 1905. The gavel features ebony handle and bears the inscription Presented by the Council and Officials of the Town of Nutley N J to Mayor Wilson G Kierstead 1905.
