Auto Backed Into Fence Injuring McGrath Property

Fourth of July Firework Rules In Nutley
Nutley adopts a police ordinance restricting fireworks on the Fourth. Permissible items include day and night fireworks except blank cartridges guns pistols canons or fireworks over four inches in length or one and a half inches in diameter. Other days ban noise making devices and putting caps on car tracks. Selling prohibited items is illegal. Penalty for violations is twenty dollars or thirty days in jail.
Board Nixes Summer School Plan At Nutley High
Principal William Davis defended issuing a circular to launch a six week summer program with a per pupil fee of 10 to 15 dollars. The Board of Education, in executive session, rejected the plan and disavowed the use of the board name. Some members said they were unaware of the proposal until press reports. others opposed the idea as impractical or unnecessary.

Recorder declines to pass on legal age of dog case
Recorder W H Parry at Town Hall avoided judging the dog’s age in the dispute between Frank Amata of Hope Street and Gregoria Zuizzipi over an unlicensed dog that bitten a son. He ordered the owner to obtain a license regardless of the animal’s age with the license clerk. Proof of the bite was lacking and the dog’s age disputed.
