Funeral of Joseph Stroba in Nutley
Funeral services were held for Joseph Stroba who died Tuesday morning at his Franklin avenue home. Rev. Douglas Matthews officiated and burial was at the Siecho. Stroba was born in Austria June 14, 1866 and came to Nutley 23 years ago to open the first shop on Rushy building site opposite his home, later moving to Chestnut street and Franklin avenue. He was a Crystal Lodge and Knights of Honor member. He is survived by his wife, two sons Edward and Arthur Stroba, and daughter Miss Jennie Stroba.

Domenick Hawkins Dies After Long Illness At 26
Domenick Edward Hawkins of 198 Park avenue Nutley died last Saturday night after a long illness. He was born in Nutley twenty six years ago and is survived by three brothers John Henry Martin and David Hawkins of Nutley and two sisters Miss Mary Hawkins of Nutley and Mrs Harry Poole of Newark. His mother died three months ago. Hawkins served four years in the U S Navy and served aboard the battleship Michigan on a world cruise. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St Marys Church with a high mass of requiem by Rev William L Cunningham and burial followed at Ridge Lawn Cemetery.
