Alois Deman a prosperous Ostende wholesaler and upholsterer fled Belgium with his family during the war. After wandering through England Scotland and New York they settled in Nutley New Jersey on Centre Street and started a small brush factory using three generations of Deman brush making know how. They hope to obtain machinery to reestablish their business and life.
