Italian girl evades school six years in Nutley case

Eleven year old Lucy Marone lived at Avondale with her father for five years without education or proper street clothing. Nutley Dog Census Counts 523 Once Lively Town

Man Receives Six Months for Carrying Revolver

Cosmo Mondera of 39 Garside Street Newark was sentenced to six months by Judge Davis in Newark Criminal Court for carrying concealed weapons. Belleville High School beat Nutley High 28 to 27 in a tight Belleville gym game on Tuesday. The Girls team defeated Ridgewood 14 to 3, while the Boys earlier won 23 to 14 at Clifton. Second Team lost 41 to 19 at Belleville.

Saloonkeeper Fined for Giving Drinks to Boy

Avondale road saloonkeeper James Giangarelli was fined twenty dollars by Recorder Washington E. Page for selling whiskey to Giuseppe Ferrara, a sixteen year old. Ferrara, alleged to threaten violence, was sent to Jamesburg Reform School after Juvenile Court hearing. The defendant claimed the boy was over twenty one and ill with a cold, and witnesses backed his admission.

Card Party Held For Friend Miss Emme Beatus

A social card party was given for Miss Emme Beatus of Franklin Avenue New York yesterday afternoon. Prizes went to Mrs Henry Gerdau Miss Beatus and Mrs Frederick Borg.
