The Nutley Town Council meets to discuss a proposed street through North Woods affecting Mrs. Satterthwaite's property. Dr Satterthwaite objects as private gain, questions public benefit, and calls for residential guarantees. The matter is sent to Counsel Reed and the Assessment Commissioners for adjustment.

Fire crews answered a Box 35 call early Tuesday morning at the Busby flats on Franklin Avenue. A live coal from a range ignited wood under the floor in Mrs. Cipiano’s apartment, but firefighters quickly contained the blaze. Damages totaled about $50.
The funeral service for Mr. George Hi Archer who died Thursday last was conducted privately at his residence. Burial followed at Laurel Grove Cemetery Paterson. Archer belonged to the Royal Arcanum of Boston with a $1500 policy. Kenston Council officers will arrange payout to the beneficiary within days.
The Kempton Council Royal Arcanum will hold its next regular meeting at Masonic Hall Duttig building on Monday evening. The annual election of officers will be conducted at this meeting, and all AH members are urged to be present.

A quiet home wedding occurred at the residence of Mr and Mrs G W Frederick on Bloomfield avenue at 3 PM Tuesday. Their daughter Miss Cora Bell Hazel wed James Cora Hazel of Kenton Delaware with Rev Elbert Clement performing the ceremony before immediate relatives. The couple will reside in Kenton Delaware after an extended trip.
On Wednesday evening December 16 a free illustrated lecture will be given under the Lecture Committee of the Board of Education at Park School Auditorium. Prof Frederick Monsen will speak on The Navajo Indians and the Cliff Dwellers of Arizona. Children under 12 not admitted unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Nutley Town Council appointed Mr. R. Watson Harris of Harrison Avenue as dog warden on a Wednesday evening. With a large dog population, he is expected to start duties January 1, and likely focus on enforcing leash rules and handling nuisance dogs.
The Prudential issues its 1901 calendar featuring a handsome woman titled The Prudential Girl for 1904. The calendar shows a brunette in fall dress with an artistic background and lists months on the reverse. Printed in eleven colors on the front and one on the back, nearly 5,000,000 copies will be distributed to policyholders.
The 1904 Irl B Hicks Almanac is now ready and mailed for 30 cents. It promises heavens and weather insights and is paired with Word and Works, offered together for one dollar a year. Orders should be sent to Word and Works Publishing Co in St Louis Missouri.
The Nutley Bay Ball Club plans a vaudeville entertainment at Park School Auditorium next Thursday evening the 17th. The program features talent from out of town and club members with illustrated songs forming a highlight. Proceeds will seed a fund to start their baseball season.
