The April 7 financial statement for the Patriotic Fund reports only 30,000 raised so far with a total on hand of 1,228.89 and expected large donations later. A fundraising dance by Mrs James C Bolger and Miss Rath Libby added about 175 to income. Planned disbursements include Red Cross Y M C A and Knights of Columbus支 payments through May with a national 10 million War Fund looming.

Pupils Win Thrift Stamps for Bird House Contest

A Park School manual training project on building bird houses concluded this week. Pupils in grades one to six competed in each class with prizes of one to three thrift stamps for top entries.
