Norwalk College panel selects three merged campus names
A Norwalk college naming committee moved quickly to ease Democratic fears on the Common Council about the future name of the merged Norwalk Community College and State Technical College. It chose three options all including Norwalk in the title and will submit them to the state Board of Trustees by November 1. The council had approved a resolution opposing any renaming that drops Norwalk, noting such a change would insult Norwalk residents.
