New Yellow Cab Garage Planned For NW Area
A 22 000 square foot garage with 35 000 square feet of outdoor parking will be built at 2424 N Pulaski by the Yellow Cab Co during winter and finished by early summer. The project costs about 300 000 dollars and will house about 150 taxis in a one story brick and concrete block building.

Reilly Area Citizens form to curb youth trouble
A new group named the Reilly Area Citizens association formed with the Logan Square Neighborhood association to address assaults and vandalism in the Reilly school area. About 200 residents met with city agency reps and park officials to plan youth programs and community support. Woman Shot In Robbery At North Pulaski Tavern
Mrs. Eleanor Fuhr, 45, was shot in the neck during a hold up at a tavern and liquor store on North Pulaski. Three men—Jesse Bolden, Tyrone Byars, and Robert Booker—were arrested and charged with robbery and aggravated battery after a pursuit in a gray 1958 Chevrolet. A fourth man fled. Byars admitted firing the shot. Belmont hospital reported Mrs. Fuhr will recover.
