Logan YMCA Plans New Pool and Facilities in Logan

The Logan YMCA at 3600 Fullerton will unveil plans for a swimming pool and PE facilities to benefit youth and adults. Ronald D. Thompson, executive director, invites community groups and individuals to hear the program. Kickoff is Oct 1 with a $500,000 fundraising goal. Parents division to run three phases door to door canvass, small business drive, and community solicitation chaired by Mrs. Edward Jonas.

Humboldt Area Needs Forum Gathers 69 Citizens

More than 69 Northwest Side residents attended an open forum at Our Lady of the Angels church to discuss Humboldt Park and North Garfield Park needs. The event, the first MBH session, explored recreation and the possibility of forming a new community organization while aiming to overcome local apathy.

Hillinger Says Cody Elevation Honors Chicago
