Death of Mrs. Traester Follows Daughters Losses
Mrs. Amelie Traester died at home after a period of poor health. Cause is listed as dropsy and heart trouble, following her daughter Ida’s fatal automobile crossing accident. Born December 17 1861 in Germany she immigrated about 1881 and married George Traester who died in 1903. Surviving are nine children and four stepchildren. services set for Thursday at 2 PM at North Judson Lutheran Church with a 1:30 homestead service, burial in Highland Cemetery.

Fred Kersting Found Dead In Bed At Hegewisch
Fred Kersting formerly of this place and recently with Ryan Car Co at Hegewisch was found dead in his bed at his home last Friday after failing to report for work for two to three days. He was born May 7, 1877 and was 43 years three months and seventeen days old. Surviving are his mother Mrs. Caroline Kersting two brothers Albert and Herman and two sisters Mrs Anna Arnold of Chicago and Mrs Elizabeth Lundy of Texas. Funeral and interment were held last Saturday at Hammond Jad.
