New Church Dedicated at San Pierre in Evangelical Association
The new church at San Pierre was dedicated on Sunday September 25 in a large turnout. Rev J G Mester presided with Rev J C Mosier delivering a powerful sermon from Solomon and leading the lifting of the church debt. The building features a 28 by 40 foot nave with a 7 foot high tower, new light plant, foundation, siding, roof, doors and furniture plus a iron fence and cement walk. A Young Peoples meeting and a Pantomime titled Nearer My God to Thee were highlights, with praise to Rev J L Buyer and the church officials.

Accident near Wider claims James Daly life
James Daly and Patrick Daly, brother of Owen Daly of San Pierre, were involved in a west of Wider farm area accident Tuesday morning. Located on a railroad near Lake, Daly was struck by an eastbound freight train and suffered a fractured skull, with death occurring Tuesday evening. Daly, aged 2, was widely known in the county. No funeral arrangements have been made.
