Veteran Civil War Hero William H Replogle Dies at 79
William H. Replogle died October 7 1921 at his home on East Main Street He served in the 15th Indiana and 16th Indiana Infantry battles at Pittsburgh Landing Shiloh and fought as a private detective in secret service He was town marshal of North Judson and a Republican with Civil War and Grand Army honors survived by wife Elizabeth and sons Rev Wm A and Charles G and daughter Nettie D Edward Marsh of the Oil Station is married to his daughter. His wife Mary A Gallagher died earlier and he remarried Elizabeth Gallagher. He remained active in patriotic causes and union veteran circles.

Odd Fellows attended the funeral of Geo W Stump in Medaryville last Thursday naming George Morris Paul Fred and Louis Paul sen F G Davis Fred Kasch and Mike Jacobson. Nine Happy Winners Sunday School girls from M E church with their teacher enjoyed a four mile hike last Thursday evening after school. There was candy fruit and popcorn and all had a fine time. A three day celebration is planned in Crown Point and Lake County on Oct 18 to 15 inclusive with free acts baseball bands and an agricultural exhibit and reduced rail rates to encourage attendance.
