Starke County Expands Voting Precincts Before September
The Starke County board increased precincts from 17 to 24 to accommodate rising voters after the suffrage law. A 60 day registration period opens June 18 at the courthouse with a new board including Republican and Democratic members. Center and Wayne townships relocate voting places to Knox and North Judson respectively. The move aims to ensure eligible voters can cast ballots for the constitutional convention in September.

The Wayne and Railroad Township Sunday School Association will hold a convention in this city at the M. E. church on Sunday May 27. President C B Smalley announces an excellent program with a large attendance expected. The agenda includes songs prayers school addresses a discussion on primary work and a report of officers and treasurer. Local boys from North Judson and surrounding towns have volunteered for service in the nation’s armed forces.

Women and girls urged to meet at the town hall May 30 to make wreaths for fallen soldiers. School children, clubs, and citizens invited to march led by marshal Melvin Bybee.
