A Palmer Erie Crane accident injured engineer Chas Johnson and fireman Harry Long, with Johnson in St Mary's hospital. The Harry Rust residence on Keller Ave suffered a damaging chimney fire, gutting most contents. Rust held $800 insurance on the home and $500 on furniture.

Treason Charge Arrest of Edward J. Jensen in Richmond
Edward J. Jensen a 20 year old of Danish extraction son of Andrew and Josephine Jensen of Knox was arrested in Richmond Virginia on treasonous remarks made when urged to enlist in the US army. Virginia legislator W W Baker says teasing by high school cadets contributed to his remarks. Jensen was arraigned in police court and paroled into Capt Baker’s custody with federal authorities to decide further action, naval authorities endorsing the arrest.
