Rousing Farewell for 25 Starke County Soldier Boys
The 25 Starke County soldiers left Friday for Camp Taylor and were honored in Knox with a large farewell near Dan's cafe and a public meeting at Reins' opera house with overflow at VanDerweere's hall. The event featured patriotic speeches, music, and a Liberty bond drive that raised over $32,000 in an hour, with entertainment for children and performances by Helen Boyle, Florence Akers, Lula Wiegner, and Matie Wiegner.

Schuyler Named Silo Leader for Starke County
