Indian Skeletons Unearthed Near Tippecanoe River Mound
Francesville Tribune reports Guy Fisher and companions uncovered five male skeletons buried side by side near a destroyed Indian mound at the Tippecanoe River mouth. The central corpse held a solid silver Jesuit cross. grave goods included flint arrow heads a stone pipe a copper ornament and two large copper buttons. Further mounds nearby may yield more historical finds.

James Pest 83, Bohemian native dies after stroke
James Pest an 83 year old resident, who came from Bohemia 42 years ago, died April 22 after a paralytic stroke. He is buried in the Catholic cemetery near his late life companion, with funeral services led by Rev Keyser at the Catholic church. Attending from Chicago were Jos Siska, Jos Kolar, Frank Podack, and Anna Holub.

Parcel post traffic soars after service inauguration
