The Democrats designate their official state ticket and appoint select men to spearhead the coming campaign and endorse a plank favoring a statewide primary.
At Tomlinson hall Indianapolis last Thursday the Indiana Democrats backed a strong ticket with George A. Butler of Fort Wayne defeating Thomas W. O Connor of Monticello and F W Launstein of Evansville for State Treasurer on the final ballot Butler received 1019 votes against 672 for O Connor and 1543 for Launstein.
Indiana fire marshal reports eight months of data show 2 923 of 5 995 contents fires lacked insurance while 3 071 were insured. Building fires totaled 4 814 insured and 3 289 uninsured with many uninsured outcomes tied to barns and small outbuildings.
Sixty four girls join the Poultry Club with many receiving free eggs despite some express charges. About 380 boys enroll in the Boys' Corn Club with likely over one hundred more joining.
