Jacob Burch a North Judson pioneer dies at home on Lain Street after a two year decline from a paralytic stroke He sailed from Bremhoof to New York in 1868 and settled in Indiana contributing to North Judson real estate and Catholic church founding His funeral was held at the local Catholic church with interment in the town cemetery and many relatives attended

Local Sunday School workers gathered at Knox for a convention of the Starke County Sunday School Association. Miss Young the state secretary gave talks along with readings and music by local talent. Most old officers were reelected for the coming year and a detailed report is prepared for the next issue.

Planting Notes For Potatoes From County Agent Davis
County Agent H. W. Davis advises early deep plowing for potatoes and rapid planting in dry soil. Best yields come from earliest plantings in Starke county between June 5 and 15, using 30 inch rows, seed pieces one foot apart for early crops, 15 to 18 inch spacing for late crops, and certified seed with large 200 bushel per acre potential under some conditions.

March issue of the Bankazine lists all passenger trains for North Judson on four railroads. The Pennsylvania Railroad adds two east bound stops No 216 at 11 39 am and No 3386 at 12 13 am.
