Indiana women cannot vote for presidential candidates in the May primary under current law, per Indianapolis attorneys Charles Q. Roemler and Will H. Thompson after meeting with Frederick E. Schortemeier of the Indiana Republican state committee. They say the right to vote for presidential electors in November does not extend to primary candidates, aligning with Democratic state election commissioner W. W. Spencer. The committee also says women cannot be delegates to the state conventions, as only qualified electors may be delegates, until the federal suffrage amendment is ratified. however, women may be delegates to the national convention, which can judge its own qualifications.

Final distribution of state automobile fund to counties
The secretary of state will distribute 108 893 29 from the state automobile fund within ten days. Since July 1 1919 the department collected 130 179 01, spent 21 285 72 leaving a balance of 108 893 29 to be shared by the ninety two counties. Distribution follows one third each by equal share miles of gravel roads and county receipts. 34 515 98 miles of gravel roads are county controlled.
