John Chapman Baker 72 of Bass Lake Indiana died in Chicago after an electric lighting accident at Captain James Murphy’s home. A Civil War veteran, baker was born Newark Ohio May 1 1848 married Mary Anna Coldesi and had ten children. Funeral services were held at Round Lake Church conducted by Rev. Jimberfin with interment in Round Lake cemetery.
