Supervisor dob Ripe burs presided over a case in the metropolis of sip cus where citizens refused to come forward. Five of the delinquents paid the required sum while Jobin Pierr refused to die and Squire Pierce handled the case in court. Constable Jim Plaskins levied on Pierr’s property to cover the costs. The incident illustrates the old saying a stitch in time saves nine.
Judge Burson of Winanie lost a pocket book containing about 35 dollars on a train while traveling from Knox. An early telegraph search failed. The janitor later recovered the pocket book in the Knox county court house.
An elderly Lewiston resident, Mrs. Nolley Caupbedh, died Sunday at her daughter’s home after a long illness. Among surviving children are Mrs. Cainapbedis Buna Pisaehe and Lizzie Nt Nile SN. Funeral arrangements and attendance are noted, with visiting friends and relatives traveling from nearby towns.
