Mrs Rose Fortini and little son Jack and sister Miss Catherine Pickell of Chicago are vacationing at the country home of Wm Bollini and family. David Parry a South Shore electric railway conductor and the first East Chicago volunteer from World War was electrocuted Friday in the vestibule of his car. The lines carry 6600 volts but experts are not sure how Parry was killed. Emil Born a sailor on the U S S Delaware writes his parents that he landed in Copenhagen in late June and is seeing sights. He sends regards to friends back home in Indiana. Don’t miss the big battle at Enterprise Park next Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Railroad men have accepted the challenge of the business men for a baseball game and there’ll be something doing. You’ll be on deck. 4Couldn’t miss it for anything.

Pin Removed From Child Windpipe In Michigan Hospital
Sixteen month old Irma Jane Boehning daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert Boehning underwent a successful Saturday operation in Benton Harbor to remove a small beauty pin lodged in her windpipe. The pin about an inch long had likely been swallowed last Monday. after local efforts failed the baby was taken to Benton Harbor where Dr. F L Sharrer performed the procedure. Relatives report she is recovering with no great ill effects and lives about three miles north of Francesville.
