War Time Notices From North Judson and Camp Taylor
Last week four women were reported as registered in Wayne township but fifty-three have now been confirmed by Postmaster Wessely. Leo Held at Camp Taylor sent back Trench and Camp a Y M C A weekly journal for soldiers, matching the national YMCA efforts, with similar camp publications worldwide including the Stars and Stripes in France.

N J Boy Wounded in France in World War I
The first North Judson boy wounded at the front in France is Henry Dux, son of Mrs Dust Dux, with his brother John in training in South Carolina. Hank reports slight wounds, in a hospital in Europe, after a five day battle with German forces, and says he hopes to be back in action soon.

Receiver Named For Burrows Camp On Kankakee River
Burrows Camp on the Kankakee river is placed under receiver to preserve it while owner is away serving. Judge Loring appointed Truman of Pleasant Township after Barrows mortgage of 34 000 and a 400 lien by Rensselaer Lumber Co. were noted. Four loads of buildings including a dwelling, store, and dance hall were moved while foreclosures were blocked by soldiers' service rules.
