The 3rd annual Northern Indiana Poultry and Pet Stock Show is set for VanDerweele's hall in Knox next week January 1 to 16. Admission for schoolchildren on January 13. S100 in premiums for top exhibitors. Exhibits requested from R R Whitney and others with numerous classes of poultry and birds.
Distribution of funds shows total 52082.26. Mrs. E Krusnicka visited from Chicago. Frank Gress was a Lowan Sport Visitor. Kr A Smith of Wilder joined town. Prosecutor Glazebrook came from Knox for a Justice Thorpe matter. Mrs. Owen Daly and two children visited from San Pierre. Prof John Tavnehill of Ora schools visited North Judson. C F Jenkins of Winamac was a guest of the Katingers. Charlie DeCamp fined 5 dollars for fast driving. total costs 88.75. Father Pelden is collecting Italy relief funds. Ora Dunkelberger returned to Starke county after eighteen months in North Dakota.

The seventh annual Farmers Short Course at Purdue University runs January 11 to 16 1909 in Lafayette Indiana. It targets corn growers stockmen dairymen horticulturists and homemakers with lectures demonstrations and judging work. Over 3500 have attended prior years and more than 1000 in premiums will attract many entries.
