Magdaline Stocker died in Maywood HL last Thursday at her daughter's home. Her remains arrived Sunday for funeral services at the German Lutheran church in North Judson, with interment in North Judson cemetery. She was about 78, born in Germany, widow of George Stocker, mother of five daughters and four sons.

Mrs. Sarah A Heward aged mother of Harry Heward and Mrs Frances Noland of this city died Tuesday morning after a brief illness of heart trouble superinduced by old age. She had been ill a week and bedbound for two days. Sarah A Koogle, daughter of J G and Charlotte Koogle, was born.

The 56 year old Edward Krupske was buried in Chicago last Thursday. He left a wife and six children. His widow is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hopp Sr. and sister to several local residents. John Hopp and all the sisters attended, except Mrs. Wobith due to illness. Mr. Jordan and Mr. Wobith attended as well.

Two Men Shot To Death In So Bend Brewery Office
Henry Muessel and Frank Chrobot were killed in the Muessel Brewing Co. office in South Bend by two masked robbers aiming to steal about $1,000. Henry Muessel’s brother was wounded but alive, and another man tied but unharmed. A large reward fund is being assembled.
