A census of thousands of churches in gpoets nationwide will begin September 1 under The National Association for the Study and Prevention of Tuberculosis. Ministers will report last year’s TB deaths living cases September 1 and total members to guide an educational campaign ending with Tuberculosis Day during the week of November 29.
The Department of Agriculture estimates a 930 million bushel wheat crop the largest on record. Domestic use will rise due to livestock feed while world crops limit price drops. About 600 million bushels are needed for home use this year and foreign demand remains strong for any exportable surplus.
About fifty citizens attended the town board meeting last Wednesday to oppose a gasoline tank on Mosher's sidewalk and to complain about Sunday picture shows. The board signaled support for removing the tank from the street and ordered Sunday shows closed in line with state law. Theatre owners Miami and Palace comply.
