In early June the State Fire Marshal reports two women killed and several injured by carelessness with gasoline and kerosene. One woman poured kerosene on hot coals to speed a flame, causing an explosion and a fatal blaze. The other woman threw gasoline into hot water, causing an instant flash and her death.

He entered the Lunch store by a rear door key, stole carpentry tools from Frank Irmiter, and fled when a suitcase with the loot was found. Death Ends Long Suffering Mrs. Ross in Chicago
Mrs. Frank Ross died July 27 at Lakeside hospital Chicago after amputation of both legs for gangrene. Born May 3 1859 in Owen County Indiana she was 58 years old. She married Franklin Ross November 1 1881 at North Judson and left five children Stella Worthington Ross Richard Stanley Ross Mary Katherine Maibauner Oliver Loyde Ross and Matilda Walker. Burial followed Sunday in old North Judson cemetery with funeral services by Rev. Collier.
