Shaler Township Opens Bicycle Safety Pilot Program
Shaler Township launched its first bicycle safety program on May 4 at Shaler Junior High School. 225 bicycles were inspected and 225 drivers tested under the auspices of the Shaler Police Department and township commissioners. The program involved DeHaven and RC Rogers public schools and St Bonaventure Parochial School with 10 bicycles failing inspection and five drivers failing.
