Fire hydrant struck by car in McCandless blasts water skyward
A fire plug was hit by a station wagon Thursday evening in McCandless causing water to surge five feet into the air and coat Sample Road near Collington Square with ice. The driver, 24 year old Mrs Cheryl B Ide of Charlemagne Circle Ross, said icy pavement caused the crash. West View Water Authority was notified.
