Escape plot ends with convict fleeing after handcuffing constable to tree
Kenneth D. Bailey, 22, an Arizona probation violator and suspected drug addict, pulled a revolver on Constable John H. Frishemeier during transport from the County Jail to West View. Bailey freed himself, handcuffed the officer to a tree, grabbed his wallet, and fled in the wagon, abandoning it later at an A&P lot in Shaler.
